Bonita Springs
In the early 1900's things began to change, the area was growing and it was felt that the name "Survey" lacked appeal, so it was changed to Bonita Springs. There is actually a natural mineral springs in the middle of old Bonita. Railroads and roads were the next needed changes to occur and the rest is, of course, history.
Bonita still has that small town warmth but it offers all the modern day conveniences, such as shopping malls, movie theaters, excellent dining, a new Marriott at Coconut Pointe, and many upscale new housing developments, and of course, the wonderful beaches on the Gulf of Mexico. Bonita offers old world charm with modern day amenities.
